The Avon Police Department is currently not a 24 hour department.  If you receive the answering service, police staff may not be on duty and may not be able to return your call immediately.  You may leave a message or contact the Stearns COunty Sheriff's Department Dispatch at (320) 251-4240.  If you are contacing an on-duty officer, you may also call the Stearns County Sheriff's Department Dispatch to make contact.  If you file a non-emergency comoplaint, comment or concern via e-mail, it will be handled accordingly and contact will be made with you.  Include a phone number and address where you can be contacted so that proper investigation can take place.  To request a copy of a report, contact the police department by phone, in person or writing.  The cost of each report varies.
