AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 84, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REGHULATION OF LAND USE WITHIN THE CITY OF AVON AS IT RELATES TO STRUCTURES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AVON, STEARNS COUNTY, MINNESOTA, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN THAT THERE SHALL BE ADDED TO ORDINANCE NO. 84 ARTICLE THREE THE FOLLOWING SUBDIVISION RELATING TO STRUCTURES:
Subdivision 3.8 Building Materials Regulations:
1. No galvanized metal, steel, or aluminum buildings (walls or roofs) shall be permitted in any zoning district except in association with agricultural, commercial, or industrial uses.
2. Exterior building finishes for all residential structures (including accessory structures) shall consist of materials comparable in grade and quality to the following:
a. Brick
b. Natural stone
c. Decorative concrete block
d. Wood
e. Stucco
f. Vinyl, aluminum, or colored steel siding.
3. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and publication in the official newspaper for the City of Avon.
Adopted by the City Council this 1st day of August 2005.
