July 27, 2007 City of Avon Received $1,000 Grant from Initiative Foundation!

Cities who have participated in the Health Communities Partnership (HCP) through the Initiative Foundation were asked to complete online surveys regarding their experience with the HCP Process. The Initiative Foundation offered a $1,000 grant as incentive for completing the surveys. In order to be eligible for the grant each city had to have at least 5 people complete surveys online and at least 2 had to agree to do a follow up interview with the Initiative Foundation. Avon had 8 people respond, making us eligible to be put into the drawing for the grant dollars. Our name was drawn and we won a $1,000 grant to be used for any community based project we choose!
