If anyone wishes to tour the Wastewater Treatment Plant or the city's new well house, contact Joel Birr at the WWTP. Give Joel a call at 320-249-3194 and he will be pleased to give you a tour explaining how everything works.
Parks (click here for more info.) The city has been adding more flowers, shrubs, and trees to the streets and parks to beautify them. In order to keep these looking nice, extra help is needed in caring for them. Are you interested in providing this kind of help? If so, please give Ray a call at 320-248-4992. Lakes (click here for more info.) Beach (click here for more info.) Trail (click here for more info.) Skating Rinks There are hockey and skating rinks at Ochotto Park. The warming house will be open for use unless vandalism occurs. Please turn off lights and make sure the door is closed. Compose Site (THE COMPOSE SITE IS NOW OPEN) Directions--go down Angelfish Avenue and take a right at the intersection and then go straight through the gate ahead (instead of into the wastewater plant gates). There will be a large sign marking the compose site. You will see several piles with signs; please put the items in the correct piles. The compose site is for grass, leaves, brush and tree branches. Nothing else is accepted. If other foreign items keep finding their way into the site we will close the gates immediately without notice. It will take everyone's cooperation to keep this open.
If you live within the city limits you must license your dog. Please bring in proof of your dog's up to date rabies vaccinations. Cost of the license is $5.00 and it expires one year from date of issuance. It is the pet owner's responsiblity to keep the license up to date.
